Steve Stueber

Steve Stueber focuses primarily on JZ Law Group’s more complex civil cases, with responsibility for drafting major motions and appellate briefs, as well as assisting the firm’s attorneys in preparing cases for trial.
Steve has been a paralegal for 46 years. His very first case as a paralegal was a five-year stint working one-on-one with the responsible attorney in a large law firm on a $15 million lawsuit. Most recently, before moving to JZ Law, he was the chief paralegal on an intra-family civil business dispute with an estimated value of possibly $50 million, handling most pre-trial work and then assisting in a two-week trial of phase one of what is still an ongoing case.
Steve has worked long-term at a half dozen law firms during his career, with emphasis on everything from large-scale civil lawsuits to class actions representing public sector employees, wage and hour litigation, and personal injury cases, both in pretrial and trial proceedings in the courts and administrative agencies, as well as responsibility for drafting a number of briefs in the appellate courts. He makes it a point to become intimately familiar with the factual issues involved in the cases he works on and brings that knowledge to bear in drafting and opposing summary judgment, writ of attachment, and other procedural motions where a mastery of the facts of the case can make the decisive difference in victory.
